Detail Itinerary

Arrival in Arugam Bay (Travel Day)

  • Morning: Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. (Flight arrival time not included in itinerary)
  • Midday (8 hours): Meet your guide and transfer to destination by car. Enjoy the scenic drive along the east coast.
  • Late Afternoon: Check-in to your hotel or guesthouse.
  • Evening (2 hours): Relax on the beautiful beach and savor a delicious dinner at a beachside restaurant.

Surfing and Exploring Pottuvil (Full Day)

  • Morning (2 hours): Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Mid-Morning (3 hours): Head to the Beach for your surfing adventure. Choose between a beginner’s lesson (if you’re new to surfing) or hit the waves on your own (experienced surfers).
  • Afternoon (4 hours):
  • (2 hours): Take a boat ride on the Pottuvil Lagoon for some bird watching and explore the surrounding mangrove forests.
  • (1 hour): Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local Pottuvil restaurant.

Ella Day Trip and Departure (Full Day)

  • Early Morning (2-3 hours): Start your day with a scenic hike to Little Adam’s Peak, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding tea plantations and valleys. The hike typically takes 1-1.5 hours to reach the summit.
  • Mid-Morning (1 hour): Descend from Little Adam’s Peak and head towards the Nine Arch Bridge, a marvel of architecture nestled amidst lush greenery. Enjoy a walk along the railway tracks and witness the scenic beauty.
  • Lunch (1 hour): Savor a delicious Sri Lankan lunch at a local restaurant in Ella. Try traditional dishes like rice and curry, hoppers, or kottu roti.
  • Afternoon (1 hour): Visit a nearby tea plantation and learn about the process of tea cultivation, from plucking the leaves to processing them into the aromatic beverage. Enjoy some tea tasting and shop for souvenirs.
