DAY 01

Exploring Negombo City

Relaxing after a journey in luxury

Tips for Day 1: Don’t forget to make most out of this when you have walking sessions in Negombo.

Negombo City is well known for its long-standing fishing industry and gorgeous beaches due to their serene surroundings.

DAY 02

Tour towards Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Time to feel the gentle giant

Tips for Day 2: This orphanage came to existence in the year 1975 as a sanctuary for abandoned and orphaned elephants. 

You will wonder how playful this gentle giant when you watch closely. How they lumber around in the river. It will give you chance to connect with nature in a whole new way.

Make sure your  camara is fully charged and ready to capture the moment with elephants. No wonder you will spot playful calf that can bring smile and add memories to your journal.

DAY 03

Exploring Divine City Kandy

Time to feel the gentle giant

Tips for Day 3: The moment to cherish the memories of strolling in exotic plant species, including giant Javan fig tree over 130 years old. 

You will enjoy the collections of orchids in this 14th century garden. 

Look for traditional handicrafts, colourful textiles and authentic Sri Lankan spices when you visit the market. You can remember some of your relatives to get what they need as a gift. 

Sharpen up your bargaining skills but do so with friendly and in a respectful manner to get the most out of your purchases. 

Don’t forget to visit Local market and especially the Kandy City Centre to enjoy the day. They have a cozy and classy food court on the rooftop.  

You will love the colourful mesmerizing dancing performance of Kandyan Dancers. Don’t forget to show appreciation for the artist by applauding. 

DAY 04

Nuwara Eliya The Tea Country

Feel the aroma of authenticity

  • Drive to Nuwara Eliya, the “Little England” of Sri Lanka.
  • En route, Walk through lush green tea plantations and visit a tea factory for tea-tasting + enjoy the tea Plucking experience.
  • Feel the wind past misty mountain peaks and cascading Ramboda waterfalls.
  • Check-in at a charming colonial-style hotel.

Tips for Day 4: It is time to wear some extra layers to adopt the Nuwara Eliya Climate though. 

Time to view some lush green tea gardens and smell the aroma of the tea while enjoying the plucking and identify how the tea is actually coming to our hands after a hard labour output. Don’t forget to enjoy the friendliness they are to offer. 

Ramboda waterfalls, one of the highest in Sri Lanka is a mesmerizing site amidst the misty mountains one can’t miss to capture in their cameras.

DAY 05

Explore the Mountain City

Tips for Day 5: The Victoria Garden built on 1897 is another garden full of various kinds of birds and plants.

World Famous Train Journey towards Ella

Tips for Day 06: The journey of the day divided in to three phases to add more fun and adventures 

Ella is a small town tucked away in the hill country of central Sri Lanka. It’s known for having lush landscapes and great hiking trails, attracting trekkers and outdoorsy types. The chilled out vibe and relaxed nightlife has a similar feel to Pai in Thailand and is a really popular place for backpackers too.

The Nine Arch Bridge, also known as the ‘Bridge in the Sky‘ was constructed by connecting two bog mountains when constructing the Badulla – Colombo railway. This bridge is 300 feet in length, 25 feet in width and 80-100 feet in height. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country.

Journey Day. The train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella considered as world famous for honey moon couples.  

Ensure you wear comfortable clothes to enjoy the breath taking scenic ride through lush tea plantation and picturesque landscapes. While you are on train.

Ratnapura  is Sri Lanka’s chief source of precious and semiprecious stones (including rubies, sapphires, and cat’s-eyes), which are found in the valleys around the town and are prepared by Muslim gem cutters

Mount Lavinia  is a suburb in ColomboSri Lanka located within the administrative boundaries of the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia municipal limits.

The area is a mostly residential suburb, known as Colombo’s beach retreat it is famed for its “Golden Mile” of beaches and has long been a hot spot for tourism and nightlife.

Ich habe Udaya (Den Travel Guide) durch einen Zufall in Sri Lanka kennengelernt. Ich kann sagen dass es die wertvollste Begegnung meines ganzen Urlaubs war. Wir haben die ganze Autofahrt von Ella mach Weligama geredet und uns über die verschiedensten Themen unterhalten. Er hat mir auf dem Weg einige geheime Sehenswürdigkeiten gezeigt, die Abseits vom Massentourismus sind. Er ist ein sehr offener und angenehmer Zeitgenosse. Einer der nicht wie die meisten Tourguides hier einfach nur an dein Geld wollen. Man merkt dass es ihm wichtig ist den Menschen eine gute Zeit hier zu bescheren. In Weligama hat er mich dann mit seinen Freunden connected, bei denen ich dann meinen restlichen Urlaub verbrachte. Ich habe mit ihnen und mit ihm eine sehr "locale experience" erfahren dürfen. Kurz gesagt hat mir dieser Mann in Sri Lanka einige Türen geöffnet, Erlebnisse beschert die man sonst nirgends anders buchen kann. 10 von 5 Sternen. Daraus wird sich sicher eine langfristige Freundschaft entwickeln. Ich komme wieder!
